Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be a member?
No, Leicester is the city of diversity, at Celts all gay, bi-sexual and bi-curious men are welcome.

What happens when I get there?
At the front door you have to press the buzzer to be let in. Once in the door you will be given a key to a locker with complimentary towel. Then you simply find the locker with your key number, get changed and explore Celts four floors of pleasure.

What should I wear?
You can wear your Speedos or lycra, but most men simply wear the towel provided.

Do I have to keep the same towel all the time I'm there?
No, you can replace your towel when you want.

Do I need to bring my own condoms?
You can bring your own if you want, but condoms and lube are freely available throughout the venue.

How long am I allowed to stay?
The entrance fee allows you to stay as long as you like until 10pm everyday, except Saturdays until 8pm.

Will I fit in?
Simple answer – yes – everyone is welcome at Celts. There is someone for everyone.

I'm shy!
Everyone has done the first time visit - where you hover outside for ages before going in! Rest assured, once inside Celts you will quickly be at ease. If you’d like one of the friendly staff to give you a tour of the facilities, then no problem. There isn't much talking going on, so you don't have to say a word to anyone if you don't want to - men are usually only here for one reason

How do I know if a guy is interested?
There is no definite way to know. Eye contact is a good way. If you're bold enough then try physical contact. He'll let you know if he's not interested and you just move on.

What if I don't like the guy touching me? How do I let him know I'm not interested?
There are a few ways. Quietly say "no, sorry". Gently move his hand away. Shake your head. Walk away. Whatever you do, treat him how you'd like to be treated - in a calm and respectful way.

When is the best time to go?
There are no best or worst times. It's different all the time - it might be very busy one day and quiet the next - it's a chance you take.

Can I bring my own drink/food?
No, refreshments are available at reception and you can purchase hot and cold drinks from reception.

What do I need to bring?
Nothing apart from yourself and the means to pay in cash.

Is there anything that is unacceptable?
Violence and water sports are not tolerated.
